was built ca 1845, but was moved from its original location at the SW corner of Perry & Alabama, to make way for a parking lot (it now sits directly behind Knox Hall). Much of the structure was lost in the move.
Falconer had little to do with the house; supposedly he was the one who actually purchased the land for New Philadelphia (not Andrew Dexter), so the deed for the property traced back to him.

I was born in this house. Well, actually, I was physically born in a hospital, with Dr. Britten. But my Mom and Dad lived there back in 1951, so it was my first home. Dad had a women’s clothing store, “Nob Hill”, very high end, on one of the floors. Back in the day when ladies really dressed up! We moved out about 1956, moved to Audubon Drive (Montgomery,) and I started 1st grade at Bear Elementary.
