RSA Activity Center 6

RSA Activity Center

While the six RSA office structures in Montgomery are clad in white pre-cast concrete (in deference to the six concrete State office buildings in the Capitol Complex), the Activity Center is red brick to compliment the Seed & Feed, which stands facing Dexter on the opposite end of the block. This neat little structure, planned to accommodate civic clubs, receptions, political rallies, etc, was part of RSA’s 1992 Monroe Street undertaking. That mammoth project included the RSA Union, the RSA Tower, the Helen Hunt Child Care Center, three huge parking decks, the Pavilion Park, and the Waterfall Park, as well as extensive street work.  All that work transformed a slum street into downtown’s brightest image.
