Oak Park Presbyterian Church

It was founded in the early 1920s, positioned midway between the then mature Highland Avenue neighborhoods (made possible by the electric streetcar), and the new suburb of Cloverdale (made possible by the availability of the automobile). In 1930 it was called Mulberry St Presbyterian, and was listed as one of only four Presbyterian churches in Montgomery (the 4th was the Colored Church which had split off from First in 1883).Oak Park Presbyterian lasted until 1990 or so, when the surrounding neighborhoods had transformed, and the Oak Park Presbyterians were scattered out into other congregations.
