Business Council of Alabama

Bus Council

The headquarters is at 2 North Jackson Street, sits right behind the huge Gordon Persons Building, very appropriate since Persons was the last businessman governor we’ve managed to elect. The Council represents over 5,000 Alabama businesses, and was formed in 1985 with the merger of the Alabama Chamber of Commerce and the Associated Industries of Alabama. Their striking edifice has a heliport on its roof, so its tycoon members and powerful visitors can shuttle in and out quickly and quietly. The State Chamber part moved here from its former home in the old Teague House on South Perry Street.
